| Liverpool is not only the world capital of pop, its music ranges from the highly successful Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra through to the cultures and creeds of its multi-national population. It trades on being the birthplace of the Beatles but can blow its own trumpet about the successes of other home-grown musicians including Sir Simon Rattle who will be back home in 2008 to conduct the Berlin Philharmoniker and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. |
