Preparing for the Clipper race Our waterfront, known to seafarers all over the world, is becoming an even bigger attraction.
A new Museum of Liverpool is  due to open in 2010, and a major venue for conferences and concerts is already  booking events for 2008.
The Three Graces, buildings which have earned World Heritage status, symbolise the city’s rise as a maritime power.
The river will be busier than ever with a new cruise liner terminal attracting some of  the biggest ships afloat.
It will also host the start of the Tall Ships race and greet the returning finishers in the Round the World Clipper race.
